Taxon Description:
A close relative of Q. glauca but differing in its densely white-hairy, often pink-flushed, young foliage. Introduced to Kew in 1992.This oak has grown well here and one tree is about 10 m high, making it the biggest of the Chinese introductions here. It seems hardy and is well worth growing.
